Closed on 1 January and on 24, 25 and 31 December. The park and the monuments can also close at short notice for State events, forest-fire risk or extreme weather.

Last ticket and last entry
For the park, the last ticket and the last entry are both at 18:00. For the palace, the last ticket is at 17:30 and the last entry at 18:00, at the date and time on your ticket. The gate of the Chalet of the Countess of Edla is closed from 12:00 to 14:00: you reach it from other entrances of the park.
When to arrive
Palace slots fill up with school visits, groups and the flow of tourists, and the official FAQ says there may be no availability on the same day. Book first, then plan around the slot. Our suggestion is a slot at opening (9:30) or in the late afternoon, and the official blog notes that Sintra’s morning mist often clears after lunch.
